The tension peaked when Ezra Ausar drove to the rim and was bumped by Brice Williams. After falling to the ground, Ausar threw the ball at Williams’ chest. Williams responded by throwing the ball back at Ausar’s face or shoulder. Following a review, officials assessed a double technical foul and upgraded Williams’ foul to a flagrant-1.
Earlier in the game, Tre Donaldson showcased his skills with an impressive spin move that sent two Pistons players flying, setting up Ausar for an easy cutting dunk. The duo also connected on a dunk off a pick-and-roll play.
The rivalry between Donaldson and Williams continued when Donaldson scored a driving layup over Williams and gave a “be quiet” celebration. Williams approached Donaldson at the other end of the court, resulting in a second technical foul for Williams and his subsequent ejection from the game.
